  • Email Address: Used for authentication with NotaryCentral services
  • Chrome Extension Key: Stored locally in your browser for authentication purposes

Information Automatically Collected

  • Current Tab URL: Collected when you sync an order to identify which page you're syncing
  • Page HTML Content: Extracted from the current tab only when you click "Sync order" to capture order details

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

  1. Authenticate you with the NotaryCentral backend service
  2. Extract and sync notary order information from web pages to your NotaryCentral account
  3. Mark orders as paid in your NotaryCentral account
  4. View order details in NotaryCentral

Data Storage

Local Storage

  • Your email, chrome extension key, and draft inputs are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
  • This data never leaves your device except when explicitly sent to NotaryCentral servers during authentication or sync operations

Server Storage

  • When you sync an order, the URL and HTML content are sent to NotaryCentral servers for processing

Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell your personal information to third parties
  • Share your information with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Track your browsing activity outside of the explicit sync operations you initiate

We only share your information with:

  • NotaryCentral backend services (owned and operated by NotaryCentral) for the purpose of syncing orders, authentication, and order management

Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

  • storage: To save your login credentials and draft inputs locally in your browser
  • scripting: To extract HTML content from the current page when you click "Sync order"
  • tabs: To identify the current tab's URL for sync operations

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • Credentials are stored securely using Chrome's built-in storage API
  • All communications with NotaryCentral servers use HTTPS encryption
  • Your password is never logged or stored in plain text on our servers

Your Rights

  • Delete: Remove your stored credentials by clicking "Log out"
  • Clear Draft Data: Clear draft inputs by logging out or by successful authentication

  • Server Data: Synced orders are retained according to NotaryCentral's data retention policy
