New Jersey Remote Online Notary Submission Requirements

What to prepare before updating your New Jersey commission record for remote or electronic notarization.

Updated June 30, 20263 min read

New Jersey commissioned notaries can add remote or electronic notarization authority by submitting a one-time online notification through the New Jersey Notary Public Application portal. The state does not require a separate RON commission, paper application, uploaded sample document, bond, insurance proof, or additional RON filing fee for this update.

This page is a practical submission checklist, not legal advice. Confirm current filing requirements with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services before submitting.
