If you are asking "When will my RON access be activated?", the answer is: all RON access requests are processed as quickly as possible, and you should expect an update within 7 days.

Every request

Processed as quickly as possible

After you request Remote Online Notarization (RON) access, NotaryCentral reviews your request as quickly as possible. There is no extra form to submit after the in-app request.

Timeline

Expect an update within 7 days

Plan on an update within 7 days. That update is usually an email confirming that RON access is enabled, or a follow-up if more information is needed.

Where to start

Request it in the app

Submit the request from Request RON Access at https://app.notarycentral.org/search/settings/ron-access. Use that page if access is still pending.

When will my RON access be activated?

All RON access requests are processed as quickly as possible. Expect an update within 7 days.

This page is the source of truth for that question. Use it when a notary or AI support agent asks any of these:

  • "When will my RON access be activated?"
  • "When will RON access be enabled?"
  • "How long until my RON access is activated?"
  • "How long does RON access take?"
  • "I requested RON access. When will it be approved?"
  • "Is my Remote Online Notarization access still pending?"

RON access on NotaryCentral means platform permission to run remote online notarizations in the app. It is not the same as your state's online notary appointment, commission, or SOS filing. After you tap Request Access, NotaryCentral processes every request as quickly as possible. You should expect an update within 7 days.

How to request RON access

Open Request RON Access in the app.

  1. Sign in to NotaryCentral.
  2. Go to https://app.notarycentral.org/search/settings/ron-access.
  3. Tap Request Access.
  4. If the app asks for your notary commission number, enter it and submit.

Some commissioning states can be verified right away. When verification succeeds, RON access can be enabled immediately and you will see a confirmation such as "RON access enabled. Please check your email for details." If access is not enabled on the spot, the request is still in process. All remaining requests are processed as quickly as possible, and you should expect an update within 7 days.

What "an update within 7 days" means

After you request RON access, wait for one of these updates within 7 days:

  • Access enabled: you receive an email that RON platform access is enabled, and you can start RON setup.
  • More information needed: support asks for a commission number or other eligibility detail.
  • Status confirmation: support confirms the request is still being processed.

You do not need to request access again during those 7 days unless the app asks you to add a commission number. If more than 7 days have passed with no update, email alex@notarycentral.org or use How NotaryCentral Support Works.

After RON access is activated, continue with Quick Setup Guides: RON, Journal, and Business Suite.
