1. Start with an active Arizona notary commission

Before applying for electronic or remote notary authority, make sure you already hold an active Arizona notary commission. You will need your current notary information when you complete the online request.

2. Submit the online Electronic/Remote Notary Request

Your next step is the Arizona online request. Use the Arizona RON submission guide to review the online request, vendor name, vendor website, and technology description requirements.

3. Return the signed E-Notary/RON Request form

After the online request is processed, the Secretary of State emails an E-Notary/RON Request PDF. Print, sign, and return that form to the Arizona Secretary of State before performing electronic or remote notarizations.

4. Set up your NotaryCentral workspace

After you log in to NotaryCentral, complete your workspace setup at app.notarycentral.org/search/onboarding. This is where you prepare your workspace before running RON sessions.

5. Do a practice RON

After your workspace is ready, use the Arizona practice RON training module to rehearse the flow before using it with a real signer.

6. Do a live RON

After your request is approved and your workspace is ready, use the Arizona live RON training module to prepare for completing a live remote online notarization.
