1. Start with an active Florida notary commission
Before applying for online notary authority, make sure you already hold an active Florida notary commission. You will need your commission details when you complete the online notary application.
2. Apply to become a remote online notary
Your next step is the Florida online notary application. Use the Florida RON submission guide to review the submission artifacts, online form sections, and filing requirements.
3. Set up your NotaryCentral workspace
After you log in to NotaryCentral, complete your workspace setup at app.notarycentral.org/search/onboarding. This is where you prepare your workspace before running RON sessions.
4. Do a practice RON
You can complete a practice RON before your Florida RON approval is finalized. Use the Florida practice RON training module to rehearse the flow before using it with a real signer.
5. Do a live RON
After you are approved and your workspace is ready, use the Florida live RON training module to prepare for completing a live remote online notarization.
