1. Apply to become a remote online notary
Your first step is the New York online notary application. Use the New York RON submission guide to review the submission artifacts, online form sections, and filing requirements.
2. Set up your NotaryCentral workspace
After you log in to NotaryCentral, complete your workspace setup at app.notarycentral.org/search/onboarding. This is where you prepare your workspace before running RON sessions.
3. Do a practice RON
You can complete a practice RON before your New York RON approval is finalized. Use the New York practice RON training module to rehearse the flow before using it with a real signer.
4. Do a live RON
After you are approved and your workspace is ready, use the New York live RON training module to prepare for completing a live remote online notarization.
