Common Booking Scenarios

Set Evening Service to Start at 6 PM

Keep your customer-facing wording and set the automatic start-time threshold explicitly.

•

You have named the charge “Evening Service – 6 PM or Later” and want the automatic rule to match that wording and time.

Choose Evening / After Hours and enter 18:00

  1. Open Additional Charges and edit the charge.
  2. Keep the Label as Evening Service – 6 PM or Later. This is the name customers see in their itemized quote.
  3. Choose your Flat fee or Percentage rate.
  4. Under Apply this charge, choose Automatically → Evening / After Hours.
  5. Enter 18:00 in Start time (24-hour HH:mm), assign the charge to the applicable services, and save.

The rule is labeled Evening / After Hours in the editor. Older screens or screenshots may call it Late night; it is the same start-time threshold rule. Renaming the charge or rule does not move the cutoff. Existing configurations without an explicit cutoff retain the 20:00 fallback, so enter 18:00 for this scenario.

Check the exact boundary

The appointment's start time is evaluated in the business timezone, not the customer's device timezone. With an 18:00 cutoff:

Appointment startEvening charge
5:59 PMDoes not apply
6:00 PMApplies
6:01 PMApplies
12:30 AMDoes not apply

The cutoff is inclusive. A 5:30 PM appointment that ends after 6 PM does not qualify because the rule checks the start time. This daily threshold runs from 6 PM through the end of the day; it does not define an overnight interval extending into the next morning.

Combine evening service with other charges

The evening charge can apply alongside a weekend, holiday, or same-day charge. If both weekend and holiday rules match, the holiday replaces the weekend fee, and the evening charge can still apply.

On your public booking link, compare available times just before and at 6 PM. The 6 PM quote should include Evening Service – 6 PM or Later with the configured fee. Keep the label and cutoff aligned whenever you edit either one.
