You want Saturday and Sunday appointments to carry a $40 surcharge per appointment, replacing an earlier $20 amount.
Set the weekend amount to $40
- Open Additional Charges.
- Create a charge, or edit your existing weekend charge if it is set to $20. Use a label such as Weekend Service.
- Choose Flat and enter $40. Flat applies once per appointment; it is not an hourly or per-unit rate.
- Under Apply this charge, choose Automatically, then Weekend.
- Assign the charge to the applicable External Services and save. Keep one weekend charge assigned to each service to avoid adding duplicate fees.
- Check the business timezone in Manage booking form, then review a Saturday or Sunday quote on your public booking link.
The rule uses the appointment's start date in the business timezone. It applies on Saturday and Sunday regardless of when the customer makes the booking. A Friday appointment that runs past midnight is still evaluated from its Friday start.
Saving $40 updates pricing for new bookings. It does not reprice an existing appointment's saved invoice automatically.
Understand holiday replacement
When both an assigned Weekend rule and an assigned Federal holiday rule match the appointment, the holiday charge replaces the weekend charge. The two do not stack. The holiday's configured amount applies even if it is lower than $40; this is not a “choose the higher fee” rule.
Evening / After Hours and Same day are separate rules. Either can still apply alongside the holiday charge. With no matching assigned holiday charge, the weekend charge applies normally.
For an $80 base, a $40 weekend fee, a $35 holiday fee, and a $30 evening fee:
| Appointment | Surcharges included | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary Saturday, before the evening cutoff | Weekend $40 | $120 |
| Ordinary Sunday, at or after the evening cutoff | Weekend $40 + evening $30 | $150 |
| Saturday holiday, before the evening cutoff | Holiday $35 | $115 |
| Saturday holiday, at or after the evening cutoff | Holiday $35 + evening $30 | $145 |
These examples assume no same-day or other charges match.
Check actual and observed holiday dates
The holiday rule always includes the actual supported federal holiday date. With Include federally observed dates enabled, it also includes the shifted Friday or Monday observance date. For example, July 4, 2026 falls on Saturday: it receives the holiday fee instead of the weekend fee. Its Friday, July 3 observance can receive the holiday fee too, although Friday is not a weekend.
Change the date and time on the public form and confirm the itemized quote: a normal weekend shows the $40 weekend line, while an overlapping holiday shows the holiday line without the weekend line.
