Use the NotaryCentral Chrome Extension to pull fresh order details from SigningOrder, Snapdocs, or other signing portals, review what changed, and approve what gets written back to NotaryCentral.
How the extension works
- Open the order or appointment page on SigningOrder.com, Snapdocs, or another supported service.
- Click Sync order in the extension.
- The extension compares the page to the latest NotaryCentral data, highlights the differences it sees, and asks you to approve them.
- When you click Approve, NotaryCentral updates instantly; click Reject to keep your existing data unchanged.
What the extension detects
- Status changes — for example, paid/unpaid, appointment completed, or cancelled flags.
- Appointment facts — date, time, location, and assignment details.
- Money matters — borrower fees, disbursements, and payment status.
- Notes and references — order numbers, client notes, or instructions that should stay in sync.
Quick start
- Install the NotaryCentral Chrome Extension.
- Get your Chrome Extension Key:
- In the NotaryCentral app, open Menu and select Chrome Extension Key.
- Click Copy to clipboard or reveal the key to enter it manually.
- Sign in to the extension:
- For Email, enter your NotaryCentral account email.
- For Chrome Extension Key, paste or type the key you copied from the app.
- In NotaryCentral, make sure the order exists so the extension has a record to compare against.
- On the signing portal, open the specific order page you want to sync.
- Click the extension icon and choose Sync to NotaryCentral.
- Review the detected changes and decide what to do:
- Approve — updates flow into NotaryCentral immediately.
- Reject — ignores the detected change and leaves your NotaryCentral order as-is.
Tips for clean syncs
- Keep the order pages open on the portals while you review; the extension reads the details directly from the page you are viewing.
- If you work multiple services, verify you are on the right portal tab before syncing.
- Re-run the sync any time the portal shows a new change (e.g., the order is marked paid or complete).
Troubleshooting
- The extension cannot find the order. Confirm the order already exists in NotaryCentral and includes the order number used by the portal.
- No changes are detected. Refresh the portal page so the latest status or payment info is visible, then click Sync changes to NotaryCentral again.
- Unsure about a change. Reject it to keep NotaryCentral unchanged, then re-approve once you confirm with the signing service.
